About NorPac

Founded in 1982, the 8-member NorPac Conference competes at the NCAA Division 1 level in field hockey. At the end of the 2001 season, two NorPac teams were ranked in the NCAA top 20. Entering the 2005 season, the NorPac Conference is comprised of seven teams, Appalachian State, California, Davidson, Longwood, Pacific, Radford and Stanford.

In 2005, the six full NorPac members (Longwood is a provisional member until the 2007 season) will compete in the NorPac Conference Championship Tournament on November 3-5 at University of California, Berkeley. The NorPac Tournament Champion, will advance to the NCAA Tournament with an automatic berth, or as a representative of the NCAA play-in game.
